Random Acts of #YouMatter: Connecting The World Through Caring
You don’t always have to be a big hero to accomplish great things. Sometimes, a small act of kindness can make a world of difference in someone’s life. You have the power to make a positive impact and we want to help you start today!
The USC School of Social Work is sponsoring the You Matter campaign, a grassroot movement that aims to spread positive mental health through acts of caring. In honor of International Random Acts of Kindness Week (February 9th-15th), we encourage you to use You Matter Care Cards as a way to pay it forward. The purpose of a Care Card is to serve as a message of love, friendship or appreciation. Download one today, write a message, and pass it on! Your message of caring can be towards a friend, family member, or even for a stranger. Telling someone they matter can have a greater impact than you may know, so why not take 30 seconds and reach out today?
2) Write a message of caring, friendship or appreciation.
3) Snap a picture of your card and share on social media using the hashtag #youmatter and tag us @MSWatUSC to inspire others.
4) Give the Care Card to someone and make that person’s day!
Copy this message onto your blog to spread the word about #YouMatter:
I’m joining MSW@USC’s online MSW program for the #YouMatter campaign to spread positive mental health in honor of Random Act Of Kindness Week! How will you pay it forward?
We challenge you to take this opportunity to perform as many random acts of kindness as you can and encourage the recipients to pay it forward. Best of all, it's free! Remember, there’s never a better time than now to show others that they matter in this world!
