Happy Random Acts of Kindness Week! As a movement dedicated to encouraging and inspiring kindness, we love this week! If you're in need of an idea, you can check out our blog from last week or keep reading for an amazing new opportunity!
This organization takes a "fresh approach" to ending hunger! They don't think that the opposite of hungry is full but rather healthy. They develop multiple solutions to help people of all ages and walks of life and provide them with sustainable, reliable access to food.
What is the Walk for Hunger?
Every May, over 40,000 people embark on a 20 mile walk in Boston, MA. This year, Choose To Be Nice will be joining those 40,000 people! The walk serves to raise awareness of the reality of hunger in MA and to make a statement about the shared commitment we have to help people in need. Furthermore, the walkers get people to sponsor their walk, thus raising money for Project Bread.
How can you get involved?
Join the Team: You can join the Choose To Be Nice team by following this link and searching for our team -- Choose To Be Nice! Donate: Not local to Boston? Unable to make the walk May 3? That's okay! You can still help this amazing cause by donating. Our goal is to get to $5,000. Help us reach this goal by visiting this link and clicking on "Donate to Choose To Be Nice Team!" And remember, no donation is too small! In fact, $25 provides a nourishing hot meal for 15 people at a community supper program.
We will give our first 20 Team Members FREE Choose To Be Nice t-shirts so you can rock them on the day of the walk!
Not one of the first 20? That's okay! Everyone who registers for the Choose To Be Nice Team will receive an offer code for 20% of their order in the store! This way, we can all walk in Choose To Be Nice gear!
